This is something I have struggled with too.
For the past few years, I’ve experienced weight resistance despite eating well, moving my body, and doing all the things that used to work. Through time and tenacity, I have found what works. You cannot hate your body into healing and losing weight. It is a delicate process, and it is not one size fits all. Everyone’s body has different needs, and those needs can change as we age.
And I know how frustrating and confusing that can feel.
But what I’ve come to understand is this:
- It’s not about doing more to the point of depletion.
-It’s not about trying so hard that you feel overwhelmed.
-It’s not because something is wrong with you.
Your body has changed… and it’s asking for a different kind of support.
Our hormones shift.
Our metabolism adapts.
Our nervous system plays a bigger role than we often realize.
And when we keep approaching our bodies the same way we always have… we can feel stuck.
What I’m learning (and guiding others through) is that healing isn’t about finding one perfect solution.
It’s about:
- Listening to your body
- Supporting it in a more aligned way
- Trusting the process, even when it’s not linear
You don’t need to be fixed.
You need to be supported.
